Cowboy Circus

was born out of a desire to shop and sell pre-loved kids’ clothing in a local, thoughtfully curated space.

I’m Josie, the founder of Cowboy Circus. I’m a mom of three toddlers—a boy and twin girls—and like many parents, I found myself frustrated by the lack of thoughtfully curated secondhand kids’ clothing options in the Fraser Valley. As a busy mom, I didn’t have time to drive around chasing marketplace listings, and while thrifting can be fun, it also takes time—something that’s in short supply with little ones. I’ve always loved the experience of shopping in person: being able to see, feel, and intentionally choose pieces, an experience that felt increasingly hard to find in the world of secondhand kids’ wear.

On top of that, I wasn’t sure what to do with all the beautiful pieces my kids had outgrown. The existing selling options felt complicated and frustrating, and didn’t reflect how much life these clothes still had. With a background in interior design, and I began imagining a better way—a space where the curation is done for you, quality comes first, and great kids’ clothing gets the second life it deserves. That idea became Cowboy Circus.

When I’m not at the shop, you’ll usually find me cooking, gardening, or—who am I kidding—chasing my three little ones around.
